Frequently asked questions
Who is Varun Biju?
I'm the Head of Delivery at Zethic Technologies, based in Bangalore. I started in Deloitte USI's PMO working a $25M change pipeline, then joined Zethic as their first PM hire and built the delivery function from there.
What does a Head of Delivery do?
I own the engine that turns engineering work into shipped product. At Zethic that means running sprint cadence, delivery standards, estimation, portfolio reporting, and stakeholder comms across every active engagement. The role sits between project management and engineering ops.
Where is Varun Biju based?
I'm based in Bangalore, India. Our clients sit across Logistics, Supply Chain, Fintech, Real Estate, Banking, Hospitality, E-Commerce, Retail, and Healthcare, and the team works async across timezones.
What's Varun Biju's experience with AI in delivery?
I rebuilt Zethic's delivery workflows around Claude, ChatGPT, MCP, and n8n. The paid SaaS PM stack is gone, replaced with self-hosted Plane, Coolify, and Docker. An n8n pipeline now triages inbound leads overnight. I also run hands-on AI training for the PM team so the tools land in actual day-to-day work rather than staying as demos.
How does Varun Biju approach delivery operations?
I diagnose first. Most delivery problems aren't process gaps. They're scoping problems, estimation problems, sometimes stakeholder problems. Every engagement starts with a 2–3 week diagnostic and fixes ship incrementally rather than as a top-down framework drop.
What companies has Varun Biju worked at?
I started at Deloitte USI in their PMO, managing a $25M change pipeline. I then joined Zethic Technologies as their first PM hire and built the delivery operation from scratch. After a few years I was promoted to Head of Delivery and I now run the team that grew out of that work.
What tools and frameworks does Varun Biju use?
I use Plane for project management (a JIRA replacement), Coolify for self-hosted infrastructure, n8n for workflow automation, Claude and ChatGPT for AI-assisted PM work, MCP for tool integration, and Obsidian for knowledge management. My rule of thumb: FOSS over paid SaaS where the FOSS option is mature, self-hosted over hosted where data ownership matters.
Is Varun Biju available for consulting or advisory work?
Yes, selectively. Outside Zethic I take 3–4 engagements a year: PMO setup, AI workflow training, or delivery diagnostics. Always scoped and time-boxed, never open-ended retainers. Most clients start with a 2–3 week diagnostic. Email: [email protected].
What industries has Varun Biju delivered in?
Logistics, Supply Chain, Fintech, Real Estate, Banking, Hospitality, E-Commerce, Retail, and Healthcare. That's the full list across my time at Zethic.
What I won't take on
- "Help us be more agile" with no problem statement.
- SaaS-only stacks where the PM is a Jira admin.
- Pre-seed teams without a paying customer.
