Obsidian is where my thinking lives — meeting notes, delivery playbooks, half-formed ideas, the raw material most of my writing comes out of.

This is a local MCP server that wraps the official Obsidian CLI, so Claude Desktop can read and write the vault directly. Nothing leaves the machine.

Why local matters

A hosted notes integration would have been less work. But a personal knowledge base is the one corpus where I actually care where the bytes go, and “it runs on my laptop against my filesystem” is a much shorter security conversation than any amount of vendor documentation.
